Rock climbing in Turiec

The nature in Turiec also offers opportunities for rock climbing or mountaineering. Popular places include Platňa in Gaderská Valley, Kaškova tower in nearby Blatnica Valley, or Skalka in Sučany.

The plateau is located at the beginning of Gaderská Valley, in close proximity to the parking lot and is easily accessible. It offers 16 ascent routes with difficulty ranging from 3 to 7-.

Kaškova Tower in Blatnika Valley is approximately a 10-minute walk from the nearest parking lot. It offers nice overhanging limestone climbing mostly in the shade of trees. There are 42 routes to choose from with difficulty levels ranging from 3 to 7+.

Skalka, located at the end of the village of Sučany, is about 30 meters high limestone cliff, where there are built roads of higher difficulty. There are 27 routes with difficulty levels ranging from 3 to 8.
