Jan Kollar Museum in Mošovce
The Ján Kollár Museum in Mošovce is located on the original site where the birth house of Ján Kollár stood. In a municipal fire in 1863, the residential part of the house and the farm part burnt down. Only the granary, which has served as a memorial room since 1983, has been preserved. In 2009, there began the construction of the extension of Ján Kollár’s birth house, which would be a replica of the original home. In August 2010, a new part of the exhibition opened to the public. The museum exhibition was created with the help of the Municipal Office in Mošovce and the Slovak National Literary Museum in Martin. The curator and scriptwriter of the museum exhibition is PhDr. Jozef Beňovský.
